Kristin Carleton, AAMS and Dr. Kathy Matthews
of James River Wealth Advisors
will discuss Eli's Village
and the challenges and rewards of
estate planning for exceptional families

What is Eli's Village?

Eli’s Village is a wealth management team that takes a family office approach to planning for exceptional (special needs) families. There are over 20 million American households with a family member who has special needs. They are a traditional Registered Investment Advisory firm (RIA) that also focuses on meeting a family’s clinical, medical, therapeutic, educational, and social challenges as to planning for the financial, legal, estate, and tax challenges. It is led by Kristin Carleton, whose background is in wealth management and finance, and Dr. Kathy Matthews, who has a Ph.D. in ABA and whose background is in working with children with autism. Both Kristin and Kathy are mothers of exceptional children.
Kristin Carleton, AAMS founded and developed Eli’s Village with the idea that the journey of an exceptional family could be easier with the right professional team to support them.
Dr. Kathy Matthews was the former Administrator at the Faison Center for Autism and has a doctorate in special education. She brings clinical expertise to the table in planning for exceptional families.
The meeting will be held via a Microsoft Teams Meeting at
5:00 p.m., Tuesday February 2, 2021.
