John's practice concentrates on estate and gift taxation, generation-skipping transfer taxes, estate planning, estate administration, and fiduciary litigation. He is a fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a member of the Legislative Committee for the Trusts and Estates Section of the Virginia Bar Association, and past chair of the Virginia State Bar Trusts and Estates Section.
He has served as an adjunct professor at the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary where he taught estate planning and wealth transfers. He has also taught estate planning, and estate and gift taxation at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Guests and Emeritus
The guest fee is $90. Guests must be registered in advance by a member. Guests who are in good standing at another region's Estate Planning Council must register in advance, but are not required to be sponsored by a member.
Emeritus members must be registered and the Emeritus fee is $85, unless already paid for the year. Checks should be made payable to the Estate Planning Council of Richmond.
Guest and Emeritus fees are due at, or before, the meeting. Please leave your check with the person at the registration desk. Receipts are available.
Should your plans or guests change, contact the Council Secretary no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
